Jared Leto On the Cover of Nylon Guys

And he looks normal for once!

In the January issue of Nylon Guys, Leto dished on everything from his less than perfect life as a little kid, to his band's new CD "This is War", which came out December 8th.

“I thought art would be my life. It was either that or selling drugs. I always had an aversion to being part of some corporate structure or workingin a clearly defined job. I like to explore different things.”

“I was born a poor white-trash boy… We were vagabonds, and I had a peripatetic childhood; our mother brought us on her journey of escape from the oppressive nature of the South… It’s been a journey of dreams, but it’s also been heartbreaking and challenging.”

“We went to war and fought for what we believed in, and we refused to give in or give up until they addressed our concerns. One day, they finally addressed our concerns and we were able to make peace and move forward. But it was a long and sometimes vicious, brutal, and bloody battle. It occupied every waking moment, and I carried a lot of it. I tried my best to shield Shannon and Tomo from it so we could all focus on the creative aspects of making this record on our own. We are very, very glad we took on that fight. We never doubted it was the right decision, but we didn’t know how it would end up…. But we’re stronger as a result of it, and it will always be a part of our story.”

“You know how sometimes you can’t stop eating hot sauce? I’m in one of those phases now.”

Playa of The Week

Playa of the week?  Obvi Nicole Polizzi, AKA Snooki from MTV’s Jersey Shore.

While she may be small, this pint size, orange skinned oompa loompa is a tank.

One minute she’s dance-battling some jabroni down on the dance floor, the next, she’s whipping her long black hair on top of the bar, doing flashdance like some kind of tribal dance warrior!  She doesn't break a sweat.

This week, we were all ticked beyond belief when Snookie got socked in the face by some random dude at the bar!  Kapowy!

Homegirl just got right up, caked her bronzer back on, and dusted off her shoulder.  Yeah she shed a few tears, but she was good!  That’s called a champ.

Snookie’s feisty attitude, fierce sense of fashion and ability to “get her tan on” are why this little ball of energy has been voted “Playa of The Week”.

Awesome Music: Miike Snow and Peter Bjorn & John

Awesome music of the day:  Peter Bjorn and John's remix of Miike Snow's "Animal"; an already awesome song revamped.

But listen!  It's not just another sucky remix!  It's quality!  So check it out!

Brittany Murphy Dies at 32

E
arly this morning, actress
Brittany Murphy was pronounced dead after going into cardiac arrest, the actress was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, but could not be revived.

Murphy, who's body was discovered by her mother, starred in movies such as Clueless, Sin City, and 8 Mile.

Exact details of the young star's death aren't known yet, but those close to Murphy are suspicious;  Celeb blogger Perez Hilton:
"People just don't typically die at 32 of natural causes!!!!!!!  Absolutely devastating. Especially because this comes as no surprise! We, and those who knew Brittany personally, saw this coming. That does not make this any less horrible."
Talk of anorexia and drug use now ensue.  In any event, the world lost a talented, lovable star, and she'll be missed:

WHOA! Im back!

So I havent blogged in a little over 2 months (because of school stuff) and its been a bummerrrr!

Luckily though, I've seen some awesome things in the mean time!

One of those "things" is a Korean pop girl group called 2ne1 (pronounced "21" or "to any one"

This energetic foursome was created by YG records after they saw the explosive success of their boy group, Big Bang.

I dare you to take a look at the video for their song "Fire" and not be reeled in by the catchy chorus or the colorful, flashy scenes!

Their song "Fire" was released with a "Street Version" and "Space Version" on the same day this year (though I've come to really like the space version!

See for yourself:
