New Designs by Adidas are bananas

I've gotta admit, the last product Adidas came out with that really got me excited were those ultra-cool SNAP OFF PANTS that everyone had back in the day.  And that was really only because I loved to start trouble for those kids whose parents had stupidly bought them two-striped or four-striped pants.

But the new Adidas Originals by designer Jeremy Scott has given me several new reasons to show off my stripes.

First off, I'd like to say that anyone who encourages wearing full-body animal print is a GRADE-A person in my book.

Second, when's the last time you saw someone wearing tails, cheetah prints or gratuitous frills who wasn't also holding a sceptre and headed to Comic-Con?

Finally, in a world of bland, unexciting basics, the new Adidas Originals are a kick in the face!

The daring concepts and bold patterns make Scott's designs perfect for anyone who isn't afraid to say

"Yeah, I've got wings on my shoes-- and I've got fire crackers in my pants.  Now watch as I do a split in the air-- in the middle of this board meeting!"

-suck on that, Old Navy!

IMG and 505 Games Connect YOU to the Fashion World

Standing with Tim Woodley
From the second that lederhosen-wearing, blonde bombshell Heidi Klum appeared on television, I was addicted to every dramatic second of that visually stunning show, Project Runway. I instantly knew that I needed to drop whatever provincial career aspirations I had so I could follow my calling to become a fashion designer.  About a week later, I dropped those aspirations off at the end of my driveway in a clear plastic bag that also held a very ugly and very broken beginner's sewing machine that was too pink for words.

This week, in an interview at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, Head of Global Brand at 505 Games, Tim Woodley explains how a new, interactive game is due to not only captivate players, but also quite possibly reignite the dreams of fashion obsessed people all over the world like me.

Summer Nights Inspire American Apparel

For all of you fun, trendy cats out there, have I got a treat for you!!!!! Our favorite hedonistic, pseudo-fair-trade clothing store, American Apparel, has come out with a new line of swanky outfits called "Night Moves" which is specially designed for looking good at night!

Actually, it's not new at all; it's really just some of the darker colored clothes A.A has to offer, that have been re-organized into a trendy line for an emphasis on the night. In any event, these vogue vestments, which come in a wild arrangement of colors and a multitude of fabrics (from cotton, to leather, to Lamé) are pretty neat, and will have you looking cool on the hottest of summer nights.

They've even got kid sizes so that all the ragamuffins from around town can look like little hipster hookers!

So whether you'll be sipping mimosas at sundown on the beach, or waiting in a crowded line to get into your favorite club with your friends, you'll be looking good in the neighborhood... That is, if you can handle those fair-trade prices!

Bow Ties Are Back

Forget everything you know about geekiness of bow ties because the fashion favorite of the boys stuffed in lockers is making a comeback thanks to the likes of Dolce and Gabbana and Polo Ralph Lauren. If you're like me, you might be a bit skeptical, (after all, the only ppl I know who wear bow ties are Orville Redenbacher and my 76 year old grandfather and I dont usually take style tip from either one of them) But be brave! I have a pretty good feeling about this! Before, the only time you could mention "bow tie" was if it was in your pasta, but now I'm just waiting for an awesome opportunity to breakout a bow tie!
