Public Service Announcement

T
wo things that surprisingly get stupider
as time goes by
are Paris Hilton and Celebrity Public Service Announcements; also known as PSA's..

These are the silly melodramatic commercials of celebrities using their star power to convince us normies to take action against such travesties as animal cruelty, world hunger, and juvenile diabetes.

It's not like these issues aren't important, but somehow hearing about it from celebrity mouths makes everything sound stupid.
I'm sorry Nicole Richie and Benji Madden, but I dont believe you.
Here are just a few examples of celebrity PSA's

Awww. Now I care about this! ...Wait. No I don't.

precious.

Hmm... Maybe I should learn to take political icons like Ellen Degeneres more seriously.

SO Here's a PSA for all the celebs out there:

Dear Celebrities,
Everyday, hundreds of you are chosen to be in the ridiculous commercials known as "PSA's".

I know you feel like you need to be in them to appear humane, but it isnt true. Stop being in these commercials!

We love you singing and acting... but thats just about it. Unless you have a PHD, we dont believe you!

So please leave the "saving of the world" to real ppl who know what they're doing... like Captain Planet. You do your part, and we'll watch. In the end, we'll all be WAY better off.

Thank you,
The Rest of Us.

Alice in FUUUNderland!

Sorry. I KNOW that was corny, but I couldn't resist.

For any of you who are fans of Tim Burton, Johnny Depp, or anything Disney, you might want to restrain yourself while you watch this clip because I've got a treat for you!

If you havent already seen it, here is the trailer for 2010's Alice In Wonderland, starring Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Mia Wosikowska, and Crispin Glover.

Here's a closer look at the eerie magic we can expect next year:

Stuck In The Sound

L
ike many of you,
I spend hours of my time scouring the internet for new, hip, underground music so that I can eventually become cooler than all my other "in-the-know" friends.

Today, this search has brought me to the French band off of April 77Records, Stuck In The Sound.

As you may have seen before, I love any band thats French, so S.I.T.S didn't really have to work that hard to please me!

Heres the video for the song "Ouais". Its not my favorite song, but the video is legit.

Go here to hear their song "Shoot Shoot" which I like a lot.

And if anyone reading is upset because they found Stuck In The Sound a long time ago, SUCK IT! Thats how I felt when they started playing MGMT and Carolina Liar on the radio!

PS: Add S.I.T.S on myspace here: http://www.myspace.com/stuckinthesound

Light Drawings by Picasso

B
ack in 1949,
artist Gjon Mili visited Pablo Picasso and introduced him to the world of light photography!
This is where you use something like a flashlight or a glow stick to create shapes in the dark.
Piccasso was instantly inspired and set off creating masterpieces of his own.
While the luminary pieces of art were lost to the public for decades, today,
LIFE magazine is releasing the photos for everyone to see.

One thing that I'm proud to say I've always stood firm on, is the issue of internet gaming:  I hate internet gaming.

These evil cyber time-vampires suck the life out of ppl and make them unable to function in real life.  I've seen the symptoms.

Lately, however, I've found myself entertained by one mind numbing game that I'd like to share with you.  Its called "Cat Cat Watermelon" and its as stupid as it sounds.

The point of the game is to stack watermelons and cats on top of each other and...

no, thats it...

But I've played it all day!

Playing Cat Cat Watermelon has shown me that internet games can be cool manly fun and I dont have to know what a level 3 warlock is to enjoy them.

From now on, I'm going to put away my predjudices and see what other cool games I can plug into my blood stream!

You can play Cat Cat Watermelon here: http://www.e4.com/game/cat-cat-watermelon/review.e4

Hollywood Switch-up

W
hile you were busy getting engaged
, Kevin Jonas, other actors were making plans to join the casts of some other awesome shows:

Wentworth Miller joins Law & Order- Ace Showbiz
Hillary Duff joins the cast of Gossip girl- Just Jared

Personally, I think its about time Hillary Duff did something! Lindsay Lohan was starting to make her look lazy. And its a pretty sad thing when Lindsay Lohan is making you look bad.

My Singing Inspiration

A
nyone who knows me/has had the misfortune
of traveling with me in a car knows that I have a passion for the art of singing. Although I've been known to make ears bleed, I know that one day, I'll fly out of this little town, ditch the name I was born with, and become the huge singing sensation that no one believes I am!

Stars like P.Diddy, Kelly Clarkson, and Zac Efron will be begging to open for me, but I'll say, "Naw. I run solo."

One of my many inspirations to keep singing no matter how many newborns I deafen is this great clip from the movie "Step Brothers".

I'd like to say that I've gotten into several (nearly) head-on collisions due to out-of-control singing and it is no laughing matter!

To all the wannabe singers out there, hoping to sell out venues other than your shower, keep singing, and keep dreaming! Maybe one day, your mediocre voice and shotty acting skills will get your own Disney TV show, like Miley Cyrus!

Blair Waldorf Shows Off Her Lungs

T
his week I was at the MTV store,
looking to buy some sweet swag, when i got the uncontrollable urge to bob my head and tap my feet.

While jamming out, by my self, I looked up at the TV monitor and was surprised to see Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester schmoozing with pop punk band, Cobra Starship.

I'm not gonna lie, I think I said something like
"What thaaaaaaa?".
But after coming to, I had to admit that it wasnt half bad!

Give it a listen: What do YOU think? Should Leighton stick to acting?

And While I'm plugging MTV like its my job, you might as well know that Leighton stopped by Alexa Chung's show last week for a little chit chat and you can watch that here:
